CPR, AED, and First Aid training is taught in our Heartsaver® course, which is the new title the American Heart Association has assigned to what was previously known as First Aid courses.
As will all Coastline CPR classes, this course will teach you basic CPR skills through in-class instruction, demonstration, and hands-on practice. We also teach the proper use of AED (automated external defibrillator), and the Heimlich maneuver. Heartsaver® courses are ideal for those whose job responsibilities or regulatory requirements include a duty to respond to medical emergencies, such as cardiac arrest or choking. Heartsaver® courses can also include basic first aid in addition to the CPR/AED instruction, as well as be tailored for use on the pediatric population, as needed for daycare center employees.
This course teaches skills recommended or required by OSHA for jobs such as security and airline personnel, camp counselors, police and firefighters, teachers and daycare workers, physical fitness trainers, hotel workers, or anyone whose job duties may include responding in the event of a medical emergency until medical professional can be contacted and arrive.
